If evolution is true, then God is not worthy of glory and honor.
Biblical scripture teaches that there are four unusual winged beings around the throne of God who day and night never stop saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”
It is difficult to imagine a Bible-believer who would not wholeheartedly embrace the sentiment and defend the truth of the continual song of these “living creatures.” The beauty and simplicity of their words captures both the nature and the being of the God Christians they worship.
Another set of twenty-four beings, elders, we are told in scripture, when they hear these four beings “give glory, honor and thanks” to Him who sits on the throne and live for ever and ever, “fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and worship Him who lives for ever and ever.”
How do the twenty-four elders worship? They remove crowns from their heads and lay them before the throne and say, “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power.”
Christians owe humble worship around this very throne, and for the same reason: our God is worthy to receive glory, honor, and power. But why? Why is God worthy to receive glory, for example?
The twenty-four elders give their reason why. We read that their worship to their Lord and God continues with voices raised to this Lord, “for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being.”
God is due His glory and honor and power because he created all things. By his will they were created and have their being.
What does “and have their being” add to “they were created”?
If evolution is true, then there is one kind, and one kind only, of “being” in the universe. We call ourselves “human beings,” but this is an arbitrary, and somewhat presumptuous, designation if evolution is true. Because if the naturalistic creation story of the Big Bang sending out matter to collide about in innumerable “little bangs” about to “make” everything, then we are of the same essence as earth, wind, and fire.
But are there really different kinds of beings in the cosmos? If God exists, he is certainly a different kind of being than humans. And if the Bible is true, then not only does God exist as a different kind of being, but he created all the other kinds of beings in the universe.
Thus, the four winged beings have their very being by Gods will. Likewise, the twenty-four elders have their very being by God’s creation.
Are human beings part of those creations of God that have their being by a creative act of God’s will? Did God create human beings as part of the “all things,” and are humans created as human beings by God’s will?
If evolution is true, then the answer is no.
If evolution is true there are no “beings” distinct from one another by nature. All things are merely matter. Matter in various configurations, maybe, but matter only. In evolution “human beings” are no different in essence than “rock beings” or “fire beings”. And, if evolution is true, there are no heavenly beings worthy of worship. Because there are no heavenly beings of any kind by whose will anything was created.
If evolution is true, then there is no reason for any beings of any kind anywhere to worship anything or anyone. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come: the words are meaningless and are indeed, as many evolutionists claim, delusional.
“Worship” is simply a concept foreign to anything stemming from a purely natural existence. Why would meaningless organisms killing to survive desire to worship?
But we do have a desire to worship. And everyone worships something even if it is themselves.
Why?
Think about it.
